?Education

Until the age of 14, Ilya was never interested in cooking and confesses that he did not cook anything, even eggs. When it was time to choose his future profession, he listened to his parents and went to study culinary affairs at Feodosia Vocational Technical Trade and Culinary School. The choice turned out to be the right one, as every day the guy became more and more interested in discovering the intricacies of cooking different dishes and new combinations of ingredients. Ilya enjoyed the process and realized that gastronomy is really his.

? First steps

At 14, the young chef got his first job at the “Bochka” Restaurant in Koktebel. At that time the establishment was one of the 10 best restaurants in the city. But Ilya’s way into the “Bochka” was not easy. Until you wash all the dishes and learn the names of all the ingredients, you are not allowed in the kitchen! The guy just did not give up and as a result worked in the restaurant for 4 years. Then he went to Nova Kakhovka, where he was already the senior of the change. Then cameForos, Gurzuf and Alushta.

After seven years of work at institutions on the southern coast of Crimea, Ilya wanted to change the situation. In Foros, a he met a bartender who told him about Cartel Holding. The future chef was interested in the proposal, so he packed his bags and went to Bukovel for the winter season. At first he was the chef of the cold shop in the Kukhel pub, and then moved to a hot shop where he worked for 3 years.

In 2015, Ilya became co-chef in Kukhel, and then began his journey through the establishments of Cartel Family Restaurants – Filvarok, Osteria Italiana, SALO Bukovel, Rebra BBQ and others. It is not for nothing that brand boss VitaliiVyprintcev calls Khrupchikhis right hand. Together, they set up kitchens at Meat & Green and Pasta Fresca.

At Cartel Holding, Ilya found his way to success. The chef notes that there are very few companies in Ukraine with such conditions and prospects. He is fully committed to his work, the greatest motivation is the pleasure of cooking a variety of dishes, happy guests and management and a decent monetary reward.

Ilya says working in Cartel Holding is never sad. Each season there are culinary novelties that you need to work on and bring to the perfection. According to Khrupchik, the formula of a successful boss is his team. He is responsible for the selection of people and is always ready to teach them everything.

The management of the holding understands that international experience is very important in the profession of cook. Therefore, he often organizes study trips to different parts of the world. Together with Cartel Holding Ilya has visited Austria and Italy. In Italy, they traveled all over the south of the country to study the intricacies of Mediterranean cuisine. The chef was amazed at the variety of seafood, as well as the unusual caprice from Capri Island.

Although Ilya can skillfully prepare any meal, in life he prefers a simple meal. The cook always advises to have breakfast, as it is a full-day energy charge. To start the morning, he enjoys a pot of coffee and eggs. The guy does not hide that he is a passionate fan of meat. So he wants to go on a gastronomic trip to Texas.

The chef’s career was not without tricky moments. While still working at the “Bochka”, Ilya served dessert instead of regular sour cream. The guest did not really like the ingredients, so he only had half a serving ?

?Personal life

He and his wife met through work at our holding company – they worked with TanyushaOplachko in the same kitchen. The professional duo turned into a strong romantic relationship. This year the couple got married, and we congratulate them again

The work of the chef is quite strenuous, especially in the heat of the season, so it is necessary to restore the strength qualitatively. An ideal holiday for Elijah is fishing or hunting.
